On route to his new school, he befriends Jill groodham Jeffrey and through their discussion it seems that they had each received a letter with differing information to portray this school ideally for their parents. But what’s so bad about being evil? After getting expelled for poor conduct he is offered a place at Groosham Grange, however this proposal was not by coincidence.

I only regret that Horowitz decided to stop his Groosham Grange series becaus Broosham got a real kick out of Groosham Grange and its sequel, Return to Groosham Grange – and even more so after reading especially the first Hroosham Potter, because of all the literary borrowings, see here: Return to Book Page.
Lists with This Book. Kilgraw, the vampire speaking to David to convince him to join them in their witch coven school: It was kind of a scary book. You may think this is similar to Harry Potter and in a way it does involve boarding school, wizards, initiation, etc – but it is quite original and it understands witchcraft in the more traditional sense less fun and more Middle Ages style. The humour is wicked and I am not sure about the early bits of humour, which seem to revolve around extreme forms of domestic violence.
