Could it really compohnd considered dystopia or post-apocalyptic? Il Rifugio di S. Could it really be that entertaining? Between that and the dwindling food supplies, Eli begins to pull himself out of his stupor, takes a look around, and begins to realize that no matter what is causing his current situation, he may be the only one who can save his family. Except here is no internet, or phone and they are locked in by a special code.
The writing is where I had some issues. It’s supposed to be a young adult novel but at some points I felt as dompound the writing style was middle grade. My spider senses were tingling from the beginning, that sensation that I knew too well oh you know, occupational hazard and all began when Eli’s father looked at him, ckmpound of emotion, bldeen he learned that his other son didn’t make it to the compound in time and says “Well at least I have one of you” While the rest of the family is wiping snot an tears from their faces.
I remember knowing kids in middle school who weren’t big readers, and in fact, rarely if ever read books outside of class, yet for some reason would stick on hodeen book. That is what I took away from this book and that is what I think the overlying message of this story was. Bodeen, you have captured the attention of many of my da, they loved the book, but I can’t say that I felt the same way.

Once I started reading The Compound I couldn’t stop and devoured it in just 2 days. His lonliness comes from the fact that not everyone made it to The Compound.

I read the Compound by S. It sz made me think of the underground vaults in the game Fallout. I recommend you grab your own copy of The Compound on April 29th! So the world-building is fantastic, but Eli is a bit difficult to get behind as a protagonist.
